Mel Glantz: Founder of High Desert Hang Gliding

Mel brings over 25 years of hang gliding experience to his teaching. He is a Master Pilot and a U.S.H.G.A. Certified Advanced Instructor for Hang Gliding. He serves as Chief Examiner and IP Administrator for the region, and instructs and validates pilots to become hang gliding instructors themselves.

Glenn Norman: Instructor

Glenn diversifies his time between hang gliding and paragliding. He has flown for 10 years, is H-4 rated, and is certified to fly Sandia Crest and Sandia Peak. His knowledge coupled with his professional teaching experience provide a valuable asset to Painted Sky Hang Gliding.

Larry West: Instructor

Larry is H-4 rated and Sandia Crest/Peak-certified. He's also a licensed HAM radio operator and a Tow administrator for surface based (truck) payout towing.
